Salem College

Sarah Horan has been an assistant athletic trainer at Salem Academy and College since 2024. Prior to Salem, Ms. Horan was an assistant athletic trainer at Presbyterian College working primarily with the Acrobatics & Tumbling team as well as the Cheer team. Ms. Horan supports the student-athletes through injury prevention and evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, and health documentation for teams throughout the year. Outside of work, Ms. Horan can be found hanging out with her dog and cross-stitching 

Horan graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor of Science Kinesiology in December 2020 and continued her education at MSU where she earned a Master of Athletic Training in May 2023. 

While at MSU, Horan worked directly with the women's soccer, gymnastics, rowing and volleyball teams.

Horan is BOC certified, a licensed Athletic Trainer for the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners, and is certified in CPR/AED. Additionally, Horan holds memberships with the Performing Arts Athletic Trainer’s Society, NATA, and the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science. 

Horan holds certifications with the Performing Arts Athletic Trainer’s Society, NATA, International Association for Dance Medicine and Science. She is also certified in CPR and AED.
