WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Salem College Athletics and head women's soccer coach
Robin Ramirez announced Wednesday the hiring of former Salem standout
Darilyn Nieto as the program's assistant coach.
A Salem College graduate and the program's all-time leading goal scorer, Nieto returns to her alma mater after an accomplished four-year playing career. She earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Coaching while serving as a team captain and developing a passion for leadership, teamwork, and mentoring student-athletes.
During her time with the Spirits, Nieto established herself as one of the most accomplished players in program history, leaving Salem as the program's all-time leader in goals scored.
Nieto brings coaching experience working with athletes of various ages and skill levels. She is committed to creating a positive and encouraging environment where student-athletes can build confidence, develop their technical abilities, and grow both on and off the field.
She recently earned her U.S. Soccer 11v11 License and is eager to continue developing as a coach while making a meaningful impact on the Salem women's soccer program.
